JUVENTUS WANT JOVETIC

Juventus sporting director Beppe Marotta has said that he feels that Fiorentina midfielder Jovetic will be a great signing for the club. Juventus have been linked with the 22-year-old midfielder, who has been heavily linked with Premier league club Chelsea as well. However, it is thought that the Italian club will be the front-runners when it comes to the negotiations stage.

Juventus are the complete rebuilding stage after having just won the title. The club have stated in the last couple of weeks that reclaiming their lost position in the European front will be the main ambition of the club in this season. As a result, they have been looking at signing high profile players like Arsenal striker Robin van Persie.

The Dutchman has only one season left on his current contract, while he has already revealed that he will not be signing a new contract with the club. Juventus are thought to be the front-runners for his signature. However, Robin van Persie is not the only target they have in mind after the sporting director Beppe Marotta acknowledged their interest in the Fiorentina midfielder Stevan Jovetic. Even though Juventus won the title last season, their strikers were not exceptional when compared with the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

“Overall we have made available to Conte a good squad of players, we are happy with the new arrivals, but at this stage we are also considering other market opportunities. Jovetic? He’s a player at Fiorentina that we like, whose profile responds to what we are looking out for, for our objectives, but from here we will talk about transfers as they happen. That’s all I can say out of respect for Fiorentina,” said Beppe Marotta in a recent interview. Fiorentina have said that they will not consider selling Jovetic for less than € 30 million.
