INTER MISS CHANCE TO GO TOP OF SERIE A

Inter Milan missed the chance to topple Juventus in the Italian top flight over the weekend. Parma held Inter down despite a Romelu Lukaku goal. The thrilling game at San Siro was the perfect opportunity for Antonio Conte and his boys to prove to everyone that they were not just jokers this term.

Antonio Candreva opened scoring but goals from YannKaramoh and Gervinho meant the host had to play catch up. The former Manchester United forward came through but they could not add another to take advantage of Juve slip-up.

After nine games, Juventus are still ahead by a point despite playing out a draw away to Lecce. Cristiano Ronaldo missed the game likely due to rotation for the Champions League. Maurizio Sarri insists that the Portuguese will keep taking free kicks despite his poor record since he joined. MiralemPjanic is another option so Sarri wants them to sort it out.

While there have been threats, Juve are still comfortable to ride it out to yet another Serie A title at the end of the season. There have been bets that Conte can help end Juve’s long run but the Old Lady is not yet tired. Atalanta, Napoli and AS Roma make up the rest of the top five.

KylianMbappe has been linked severally with a move to Juventus when he decides to exit PSG. Neymar has not been consistent so Mbappe seems like the next star to succeed Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. It remains to be seen if the Serie A side can match such financial heights regarding transfer fee and wages.
