RONALDO WILL STAY AT JUVENTUS

Italian agent Giuseppe Bozzo has told Tuttosport that Cristiano Ronaldo will stay at Juventus despite the transfer rumours linking him with a move away from the club on the back of the Old Lady’s exit at the hands of Portuguese champions FC Porto in the Champions League. Juventus were favourites ahead of their round of 16 Champions League tie with Porto but the Portuguese giants were able to pull off an upset at the end of the two legs. Porto secured a place in the last eight ahead of Juventus due to the away goals rule after the two legs ended in an aggregate score of 4-4. FC Porto beat Juventus 2-1 in the first leg played at their home stadium before they were beaten 3-2 after extra time by the Old Lady. The two teams needed extra time after regulation time ended 2-1 in Juventus’ favour.

Cristiano Ronaldo was almost non-existent in the two legs with Porto and he was heavily criticisedbut the Portuguese player has responded after he needed three goals in the first game after Juventus’ Champions League exit last week. Ronaldo scored three times in the first half with a header, left foot and right foot to lead Juventus to a 3-1 away win over Cagliari. Cristiano Ronaldo previously played for Real Madrid and Manchester United before signing for Juventus and he has been linked with the two clubs. He signed for Juventus from Real Madrid for an initial fee of €100m in the summer of 2018 and according to DiarioGol, he would only consider a return to Madrid if Zinedine Zidane is still the manager at the club.

Top agent Bozzo believes that Ronaldo won’t quit Juventus this summer and that he will try to win the elusive Champions League trophy with the club. He also talked about Juventus signing midfielder Manuel Locatelli potentially from Sassuolo. It is a known secret that Juventus signed Ronaldo to lead them to a first Champions League title in over a decade but that has not happened yet. He has already spent three years out of the four years signed when he became a Juventus player.
